Francis Thompson Walker was born in New York City, New York, United States of America on 12 May 1832, the 1st child of Joseph (1798) and Sarah (born Thompson) Walker.

On 6 June 1855 Francis married Catherine Esther Penfold in New York. Somewhat later, in May 1856, Francis was disowned by the Hardwick and Randolf Quaker Monthly Meeting for “marrying-out”. This means that Catherine was not a Quaker. Francis is shown on the 1880 Census as a “Banker”. Also Mary, Anne, Catherine and Francis are still at home with one housekeeper from England and four servants from Ireland.

Francis and Catherine had 5 daughters, all born in New York:-

As yet little is known of the children. Mary Louise Walker married a Mr. Peters. Date and place of marriage is unknown. Catherine Esther Walker married John Howard Wainwright on 28 April, 1886. Francis Thompson Walker married William H. B. Parson. Date and time of marriage is unknown.

Francis Thompson Walker (born 1832) died on 25 Nov. 1881 and his wife Catherine died on 27 Oct. 1868. It is not known where either of them were buried.
