This is a true copy of the Will of Ann Walker (1831 – 1859),
spinster, daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Walker of Darley.
This is the last Will and Testament of me Ann Walker of Menwith with Darley near Ripley in the West Riding of the County of York, Spinster, as follows. It is my Will that my Executors hereinafter named shall pay all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses out of my real and personal estate. I give and bequeath the whole of my real and personal property unto my brother Joseph, my sisters Hannah and Elizabeth Jane, and my brothers Benjamin, John and Edwin, or the survivors of them equally, share and share alike. I appoint my brother Joseph Walker of Menwith with Darley aforesaid gentleman, and my cousin Robert Walker of Menwith with Darley aforesaid Farmer, Sole Executors of this my Will whereunto I have set my hand this fourth day of the twelfth month commonly called December in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven.
SIGNED by the said Ann Walker, the Testatrix in the presence of us who have in her presence and in the presence of each other Ann Walker hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

ON the twentieth day of June 1859 the Will of Ann Walker, late of Menwith with Darley near Ripley in the County of York spinister, deceased, who died on the twenty fourth day of April 1859 at Carlton near Pontefract in the said County of York, was proved in the District Registry attached to Her Majesty’s Court of probate at WAKEFIELD, by the Affirmations of Joseph Walker the Brother of the said deceased, and Robert Walker, the Executors named in the said Will, they having first made the usual affirmation according to Act of Parliament.
